You are doing the best thing for yourself right now. Embarking on an unfamiliar journey to be the best version of yourself for your child. I created this program with you in mind. The fear of the unknown is very crippling if you dwell on those thoughts for a long period of time. I understand how hard it is to care for a child with special needs because I am living it.
Our journey started in September of 2017 when my daughter was born prematurely at 24 weeks. I was frustrated looking for programs and resources that will help her improve in her development. From phone calls, to appointments and lack of information from resources I thought could help my child; It got to a point where I neglected myself mentally, physically & emotionally.
Over the years though, I've overcome this by finding the right resources to help me become a better advocate for my daughter. I am able to help her even more so with her recent diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Because we advocated with determination and confidence, my daughter is receiving better quality healthcare and education. Having the right resources cuts down the time it takes researching and wasting time looking for all that you don’t know. We did the work to invest in services that brings value to our lives. She has come so far and we keep a positive mindset because she is thriving and so precious to us.
Having the right resources has also improved our family life. We have more time for each other and go on fun road trips. My husband and I are going on more date nights for much needed quality time together. We communicate better and make sure each other is taking care of. I personally feel at peace and have more clarity and confidence because I realize self-care is just as important!
I started You Are Advocate Worthy to guide parents in becoming Rockstar advocates for their child to improve the quality of their healthcare & education. Through this process, you will learn how to dig deeper and self-reflect on how you show up for yourself during stressful times. You have to make sure you’re taking care of yourself to show up as your BEST self for your child!
I know what it means to be an advocate for your child and how hard it is to find time to find resources available to them.
My goal is to alleviate that stress for you. You are not in this alone, let’s do the work together so that you have the confidence and strength to do it flawlessly.
Together, we will build your confidence in being the best advocate you can be for your child with special needs. My signature coaching program will give you a clearer sense of direction. My goal is to create a supportive partnership that will help you identify your hurdles and emotional pitfalls.
Your time spent with me during our sessions will be handled professionally and with care. Through my experience as a former NICU mom and now caring for an Autistic child, I help you connect with your child better by first identifying the feelings you have surrounding your responsibilities and struggles as a special needs parent.
Committing to becoming an advocate for your child is just that – a commitment, and it’s a big one that will take a lot a dedication. My commitment is a mix of accountability, understanding and support. This program is ultimately to benefit your child but along the way, the focus will be on you, the parent. Through self-reflection and gratitude, you will learn to pour into your own cup to become a Rockstar advocate!
